Thank you for your order. We are happy to be able to serve you. Below are the procedures for both a USA and Worldwide repair and return. We Offer Repair Service in North America, South America, Europe and many other countries.
Please also send us a brief message with the problem you have encountered with the GPS. Please remember that we cannot do hardware repairs so if a unit has been subject to an electric surge or has a broken screen we cannot help you.
Procedure for Returning GPS Units from USA For Repair.
NOTICE: ONLY ship to us your defective GPS. Our Repair Service includes all the items that we need to return to you a "Plug and Play" Repaired Unit.
OUR REPAIR SERVICE WILL INCLUDE
For the Triton 200 and 300 GPS Units
---Assurances
that our repair service will be able to your SAVE YOUR GPS serial number so that all your
old maps will be able to function.
---New set of AA Alkaline Batteries
---Our Rescue Repair Software so that you can repair the unit yourself, if necessary, in
the future. (Only provided if the 200 or 300 customers send us a
SD or SDHC card of at least 1GB. Triton 400 - 500 - 1500 and 2000 users we will supply a
4GB Memory Card as Part of the Service.)
---All units will be upgraded to the latest firmware as part of our service procedure.
---Triton 200 and 300 Users, we will prepare a special Detailed TOPO map that will be 20MB
in size. This map is limited in size because of the internal memory of the T200 and
T300.

1) Please make sure that you ONLY return the GPS and the SD or SDHC card installed in your GPS for repair. We do not need any accessories. We suggest that you package each unit in plastic wrap and use US Post Office Priority Mail and a Delivery Confirmation. The SMALL FLAT RATE BOX works well AND PLEASE SEND US AN EMAIL THAT YOU HAVE SHIPPED YOUR GPS TO US SO THAT WE CAN EXPECT IT.
PLEASE DO NOT SHIP BY FEDEX .. WE ARE EXPERIENCING TOO MANY PROBLEMS WITH DELIVERIES.
2) Please ship your unit to us WITHOUT any batteries or SDHC Memory Cards installed.
3) Please transfer your routes, waypoints, geocaches, and trails to VantagePoint as we cannot guarantee that we can preserve this data. We will try but we cannot guarantee that this data will be deleted.

SEND US AN EMAIL THAT YOU HAVE SHIPPED YOUR GPS TO US SO THAT WE CAN EXPECT IT.
Procedure for Returning GPS Units from the USA to Your Country.
1) Please make sure that you ONLY return the GPS for repair. We do not need any accessories.
2) Please ship your unit to us WITHOUT any batteries installed.
3) Please transfer your routes, waypoints, geocaches, and trails to VantagePoint as we cannot guarantee that we can preserve this data. We will try but we cannot guarantee that this data will be deleted.

5) Remember to have your Country Post Office sets the value of your product to an amount that will clear your customs on the return of the repaired unit. At this time, since the unit is basically a "brick" some of our customers set the Insurance Value at $10.00 USD and state on the Post Office Duty sheet that the "Unit this GPS is send for Repair and is not operational". We suggest that you send your package by FIRST CLASS MAIL and a Delivery Confirmation.
We will remove the duty slip from the outside of your shipment and inform the Postal Authorities that the GPS is owned by you and has been repaired and set the return value at $35.00 USD.
This way you MAY BE CHARGED a handling fee by YOUR POST OFFICE.
6) We recommend that you wrap your GPS in bubble wrap and keep the total weight of the package under 1 LB. (454.4 Grams)
7) Your GPS will be returned to you by First Class International MailŪ - REGISTERED and the value declared will be same as value as your EXPORT value. Please declare the value of your GPS as a USED unit and not a BRAND NEW unit.
